Walgreens Boots Alliance, Inc. appointed Sebastian James, the group chief executive of Dixons Carphone plc, as the company’s new senior vice president and the president and managing director of Boots UK Limited.
James will be taking over management of the Walgreens subsidiary from Elizabeth Fagan. Fagan, for her part, will continue working with the company and will take on the new position of non-executive chairman.
James is expected to join the company in the summer of 2018 and will be assuming his new role at the beginning of the Walgreens Boots Alliance’s new fiscal year on September 1, 2018. He will report to Alex Gourlay, the co-chief operating officer at Walgreens Boots Alliance.
