KBR, Inc. announced today that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Stinger Ghaffarian Technologies, Inc. (SGT).
“SGT is a great company with very talented people and is the right fit for us as we continue to grow our Government Services portfolio and position ourselves to expand into new areas in line with our strategy,” stated Stuart Bradie, KBR President and CEO in their press release. “With our combined best in class capabilities and shared position for innovation and performance, we can capitalize on revenue synergies in a market with strong fundamentals.”
The acquisition is expected to close around the end of the first quarter of 2018.
Once closed SGT is expected to operate as a business unit within KBR’s global Government Services business, KBRwyle, with SGT’s current management team remaining intact.
