Hoffman, who will also serve on the Company’s Board of Directors and remain president of Dunkin’ Donuts U.S, succeeds Nigel Travis, 68, who is retiring as CEO after nine years in the role. Travis will remain on the board of directors as executive chairman, focusing on international business development.

Hoffmann joined Dunkin’ Brands in October 2016 following a 22-year career with McDonald’s Corporation. He began his lengthy career with McDonald’s in high school working as a crew member; later he rejoined the company after earning an MBA from the University of Chicago. Hoffmann worked his way up from field operation roles to leadership positions in the corporate office to his most recent position as president of high growth markets.

Hoffmann’s new role is effective immediately.
