Schiller will take up his new role atop the company’s leadership team on Nov. 5. He will also be nominated to join the food and personal care products company’s board of directors at the upcoming annual meeting of shareholders. It will be held on Dec. 5, at which point Simon will step down from the board and a new chairman will be named.

Schiller comes to Hain Celestial following 25 years of executive experience in consumer packaged food leadership roles at companies, including PepsiCo Inc., Jarden Corp., SlimFast, Haagen-Dazs and, most recently, Pinnacle Foods Inc., where he was executive vice president and chief commercial officer.
