Avaya Holdings Corp. announced the appointment of Gaurav Passi as president of its cloud business group, reporting to President and CEO Jim Chirico. Passi is charged with accelerating the company’s delivery of cloud-based solutions and driving continued momentum to grow Avaya’s market share in UCaaS (unified communications-as-a-service) and CCaaS (contact center-as-a-service) worldwide. He comes in from Five9, where he was executive vice president of products and technology, providing a similar cloud-based technological transition.
A new post for Avaya Holdings, Passi’s appointment marks the beginning of the company’s digital transformation.
