Jonathan Beeton has returned to Capitol Hill as Sen. Amy Klobuchar‘s communications director. He left Congress in 2014 when he was appointed director of communications for the Department of Health and Human Services’ Assistant Secretary for Health.
Prior to his appointment, he served as communications director to then-Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz.
In addition, Elizabeth Farrar was promoted to legislative director. While her most recent title was chief counsel, Farrar has worked for Rep. Diana Degette (D-CO, 1st) and former Sen. Kay Hagan (D-NC).
Doug Calidas will serve as her deputy legislative director. He joined the senator’s staff as a senior economic advisor in December 2017. Previously, he was chief counsel to Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV).
