Retired astronaut and husband of former Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, Mark Kelly, launched his Senate campaign in a video released Tuesday. He’s running in the 2020 special election to fill the remaining two years of late Sen. John McCain’s term.

Kelly, a Democrat, will face Republican incumbent Martha McSally, who was appointed to McCain’s seat after initially losing her Senate race to Kyrsten Sinema. Arizona is likely to be a battleground state for 2020 as Democrats attempt to regain control of the Senate and Republicans try to retain their majority.
