On April 11th, President Donald Trump announced his intention to nominate John P. Pallasch to be assistant secretary for employment and training at the Department of Labor.

Mr. Pallasch currently serves as the executive director of the Office of Employment and Training for the Commonwealth of Kentucky, a position he’s held since 2017. Prior to that, Mr. Pallasch worked at StudentsFirst serving as director of implementation from 2012 to 2014 and then as human resources director from 2014 to 2016.
If confirmed, the appointment will mark a return to the department for Mr. Pallasch, who previously served as the deputy assistant secretary for mine safety and health from 2007 to 2009.
