On Oct. 16, Millennium Challenge Corp. announced the news that their chief information officer, Vincent Groh, died.

Groh served as CIO since April 2016, during which time he worked to “provide best in class services to the agency,” according to the announcement. Before that, Groh was deputy CIO and chief of Africa operations at the Peace Corps, where he was labeled “one of our great champions of field operations” by the former associate director of global operations Ken Yamashita.

Groh also served as the Peace Corps country director in Liberia from 2011 to 2013 and worked as a Peace Corps volunteer director in Kenya from 2002 to 2004.
