On Friday, June 15, Assistant to the President and Director of Legislative Affairs Marc Short told his staff that he will be leaving the White House later this summer.

Short has been a part of the Trump administration since inauguration day.

Before starting his current job, Short worked on the Trump campaign as a communications advisor to then-vice presidential candidate Mike Pence.

Short also served as chief of staff to Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison (R-Texas) from 2007 to 2009 and then as chief of staff on the House Republican Conference from 2009 to 2011.
