Michael Johnson
Government relations firm Cassidy and Associates hired Colonel (Ret.) Michael Johnson as senior vice president to help strengthen the firm’s national security and federal funding services.
Johnson will be registering as a lobbyist. He was most recently a Congressional Appropriations Liaison for the Office of the Secretary of Defense.
Previously, Johnson worked with the House and Senate Appropriations Committee to implement policies concerning military construction, base realignment and closure, and defense threat reduction activities. Johnson was also an executive officer for the Director of the Army National Guard as well as deputy director of legislative affairs for the National Guard Bureau.
Combined with his 26 years of active duty service in the U.S. Army, Johnson is experienced in public policy and government relations with an understanding of both the legislative and executive branches.
