CBS News announced today that Ingrid Ciprian-Matthews, senior vice president of news administration, has been promoted to executive vice president, reporting to David Rhodes, president of CBS News.

Ciprian-Matthews will continue to oversee the editorial and newsgathering operations, including personnel training and recruitment.

Ciprian-Matthews’ 24-year long career with CBS News includes assignments as a producer for the “CBS This Morning” show, deputy bureau chief for the London Bureau, foreign coverage producer and editor, and senior broadcast producer for the “CBS Evening News.”

Ingrid Ciprian-Matthews has a B.A. degree from Barnard College and an M.A. degree in journalism from New York University.
