Yesterday, Amy Morris was named vice president of news at NBC 4 New York/WNBC.

Morris begins her new role on March 27, 2018, and succeeds Susan Sullivan, who is joining NBC News’ standards division.

Previously, Morris served as assistant news director for 6 ABC/WPVI in Philadelphia and prior to that, as an executive producer for local TV stations in New York and Chicago.

In this new role, Morris will be responsible for leading all of the day-to-day news operations, including weather, investigative and consumer teams.

Morris has received many industry honors for journalistic excellence, including regional Emmy and Edward R. Murrow awards.
