Today, Bowling Green State University’s Board of Trustees promoted Rodney Rogers to be the new president of the university, effective immediately.

Rogers had been serving in the position in an interim capacity since January 1st, following the retirement of former President Mary Ellen Mazey.

An Ohio native and BGSU alum, Rogers served the university as provost and senior vice president since 2012 and prior to that, served as the dean of the College of Business Administration since 2006.

Rogers is BGSU’s 12th president.
