The University of Texas at San Antonio [USTA] has named Kimberly Andrews Espy its next provost and vice president of academic affairs.

Espy currently serves as the senior vice president of research at the University of Arizona, a position she has held since 2014. Prior to that, Espy served as dean of the Graduate School at the University of Oregon and at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Espy will begin her new role on June 4, 2018, and succeed Interim Provost Chandra Agrawal, who was recently appointed the next Chancellor of the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
