Mary Jane Rynd was named the new president and chief executive officer of The Virginia G. Piper Charitable Trust.

Rynd will be succeeding Dr. Susan M. Pepin, who was named managing director of the new Office of Health and Clinical Partnerships at Arizona State University.

Rynd worked closely with Virginia Galvin Piper, serving as her tax advisor and helping establish her charitable legacy and Trust in 1995; Piper Trust is currently the largest private foundation in Arizona. Rynd later joined the Trust in 2001 as its first chief financial officer and is currently serving as executive vice president.

Rynd will begin her new role leading the Trust on June 2, 2018.
