Villanova University appointed Donna Sullivan Havens, PhD, RN, FAAN, as the next dean of the M. Louise Fitzpatrick College of Nursing.

Prior to this appointment, Havens spent more than a decade at UNC at Chapel Hill School of Nursing, serving as a professor since 2003, as division chair from 2003 to 2006, and as interim dean from 2014 to 2016.  Havens came to UNC from the Pennsylvania State University College of Nursing, where she served as the Eberly Endowed professor of research and as associate dean for research.

Havens, who received her MSN from Villanova, stated that she is “both honored and excited to return to my alma mater as the Connelly Endowed Dean of the M. Louise Fitzpatrick College of Nursing.”

Havens begins her new role on June 30.
