On February 22, 2018, Governor Bill Walker appointed Tiffany Zulkosky to serve in the Alaska House of Representatives for District 38.

The former Mayor of Bethel, Alaska, Ms. Zulkosky was also a director of the U.S. Department of Agriculture in Western Alaska and a rural director for former U.S. Senator Mark Begich.

“Tiffany is the best person for this job. I’m proud and humbled to forward someone with such a compelling background and strong voice to House Democrats for consideration,” stated Governor Walker in the press release.

Within only eight hours of the governor making the appointment, House Democrats unanimously confirmed Tiffany Zulkosky as House District 38’s new state representative.

Ms. Zulkosky is currently serving as vice president of communications at the Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation.
