Bill Peters

An SEC filing shows Jabil Inc. President William E. “Bill” Peters plans to retire on Dec. 31. He made the board aware of his decision on Oct. 18.

Peters leaves after 28 years, having started at Jabil in 1990 as a buyer before becoming a purchasing manager. He was promoted to be an officer of the company in 1999 as vice president, operations. Peters eventually became regional president for the Americas. In September 2007, he was named senior vice president, human development; and has been president of Jabil since 2013.

Jabil has not named a successor for Peters’ role.
