On Nov. 1, President Donald Trump announced he will nominate Joseph V. Cuffari to be inspector general of the Department of Homeland Security. Cuffari is currently an advisor on military and veteran’s affairs to Gov. Doug Ducey (R-AZ).

Cuffari has served in numerous leadership roles in the Air Force and the Defense Department and worked at the Department of Justice for over 20 years. He received his B.S. degree from the University of Arizona, his master’s from Webster University and his PhD from California Coast University.
