On Nov. 28, the Senate confirmed Karen Dunn Kelley to be deputy secretary of the Department of Commerce in a 62-38 vote.
Dunn Kelley currently serves as the under secretary for economic affairs. She has also been performing the duties of the deputy secretary since November 2017.
Previously, Dunn Kelley was senior managing director of investments at Invesco plc. She received her bachelor’s degree from Villanova in 1982.
