Chairman-elect Tom Emmer (R-MN, 6th) announced that Parker Poling will be executive director of the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) for the 2020 election cycle.

Poling has worked for Chief Deputy Whip Patrick McHenry (R-NC, 10th) since 2014, as the chief of staff in his personal office and, most recently, as chief of staff in his leadership office.

“It is an honor to have the opportunity to serve as Executive Director of the NRCC. I am thankful to Chairman Emmer and the entire Republican leadership for entrusting me with this responsibility as we work to regain the majority in 2020,” Poling said in a statement.

Emmer and Poling face a tough electoral map in the next election cycle after Republicans lost 39 seats and the House majority this November.
