Nick Butterfield

Nicholas “Nick” Butterfield, who has served in the White House since the beginning of the Trump administration, was recently named Deputy Assistant to the President and Deputy White House Policy Coordinator. Butterfield will report to Chris Liddell, the White House’s Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy Coordination.

Butterfield interned at the White House during the George W. Bush administration. He served for two years as a legislative director for Congressman Alex Mooney (R-WV), and four years in the office of Senator Rob Portman (R-OH). Butterfield has also worked in the Department of Energy and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

Butterfield earned a BA in Journalism and Political Science/Government from Patrick Henry College, a small Christian school in Purcellville, Va., in 2008.
