Katharine MacgregorDeputy Chief of Staff and Acting Deputy Secretary at the Department of the Interior, Katharine Macgregor, was recently nominated by President Donald Trump to be the official Deputy Secretary.

Macgregor has an impressive resume, having worked with the House Committee on Natural Resources for the past 10 years where she paid special attention to domestic oil and gas development, offshore renewable energy development, and oil and gas revenue and royalties.

Joining the Trump administration in 2017, she has held many positions, including Special Assistant to the Secretary, Acting Assistant Secretary for Land and Minerals Management and Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for Land and Minerals Management. She is a native of Pennsylvania and a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, with a B.A. in American History and Classical Studies.
