The Congressional Black Caucus is meeting with President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris at 2 p.m. today to discuss high-profile topics such as voting rights, racial equality, the economy, education, COVID-19, reparations and the investment of the $2 trillion infrastructure plan to create American jobs that would help to close the gap in racial inequity, according to a statement.
Since 1971, the CBC’s objective has been to utilize the full power of the Constitution, statutory authority, and financial resources of the federal government to make certain that African Americans and other marginalized communities in the U.S. are welcome to attain the American dream.

Tuesday will be the first time as leader of the free world that Biden will meet with the CBC but he is already very familiar with them as three of its former members are now in the highest rankings of the administration: Harris; Assistant to the President and Director of the Office of Public Engagement Cedric Richmond; and Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Marcia Fudge.
