Since 1971, the CBC’s objective has been to utilize the full power of the Constitution, statutory authority, and financial resources of the federal government to make certain that African Americans and other marginalized communities in the U.S. are welcome to attain the American dream.

Tuesday will be the first time as leader of the free world that Biden will meet with the CBC but he is already very familiar with them as three of its former members are now in the highest rankings of the administration:  HarrisAssistant to the President and Director of the Office of Public Engagement Cedric Richmond; and Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Marcia Fudge.
