Himamauli “Him” Das, previously senior director for International Trade and Investment at the National Security Council and National Economic Council, joined Crowell & Moring International (CMI) LLC as a senior advisor.

Also having served as acting deputy assistant secretary for Trade and Investment in the Treasury Department, Das has almost two decades of experience working in several areas of the Executive branch, including the White House and the State Department. Among his prior duties, he coordinated White House policy on trade negotiations such as the Trans-Pacific Partnership and the Trans-Atlantic Trade and Investment Partnership. Serving as an attorney at the National Security Council, he played a key role in drafting the U.S. and international framework to combat terrorist financing and the USA PATRIOT Act – he also was involved in the economic reconstruction of Iraq and Afghanistan.
“Him brings substantial government and international experience across the Bush, Obama and Trump administrations working with the international institutions where CMI operates,” said CMI President and CEO Robert Holleyman.
