Government affairs firm Ballard Partners hired former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi as chairwoman of its new corporate regulatory compliance practice, which is aimed at helping Fortune 500 companies address public policy challenges.

Pam Bondi

Bondi was elected twice as Florida’s AG from 2011 to 2019. She led both state and national initiatives, such as the state litigation regarding the national opioid crisis, and the suit against BP plc during the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill. During her tenure, Bondi was active in combatting issues like drug abuse, human trafficking and school shootings. She served on boards addressing topics such as the President’s Commission on Combatting Drug Addiction and the Opioid Crisis, and Florida’s Statewide Council on Human Trafficking.

In her new position, Bondi will work with clients to create initiatives that improve corporate responsibility and address critical regulatory challenges.
