Mark Hinson
Rep. Val Demings (D-FL, 10th) enlisted Mark Hinson as a constituent casework representative for her Orlando district office, Leadership Connect has learned. He reports to District Director Sonja (McClendon) White.
Hinson was previously the arts and entertainment editor at the Tallahassee Democrat. His official last day with the editorial was Jan. 2, having started there in 1985. In a farewell column, it is noted that Gannett offered employees over 55 with 15 or more years of service an early retirement buyout, and Hinson said he saw handwriting on the wall. He is quoted: “They gave me a nice healthy paycheck to go away, which is fine with me.”
