Associations
Lawrence S. “Larry” Caniglia has been named President and Chief Executive Officer of the Association of Pool and Spa Professionals. He is expected to assume the role from current President and Chief Executive Officer Richard D. “Rich” Gottwald in February 2018.
Patrick Dolan, previously Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, has been promoted to President of the Interactive Advertising Bureau. Randall Rothenberg, who has led the association as President and Chief Executive Officer, will continue to lead the IAB as Chief Executive Officer.
Sherrif Karamat, currently Chief Operating Officer, has been named President and Chief Executive Officer of the Professional Convention Management Association effective January 19, 2018. Current PCMA President and CEO Deborah Long Sexton, who has led the association since 2005, will step down at that time.
Lynn M. Schubert, President of The Surety & Fidelity Association of America, has announced her intention to retire effective December 31, 2018. Schubert has led the association since 1996.
Charitable Service Organizations
At The Conservation Fund, John S. Gilbert was named Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer, effective January 1, 2018. He will be replacing David K. Phillips, Jr.
Interest Groups
Matt St. Hilaire, previously Personnel and Administration Director in the Office of the Governor for Massachusetts, was named Executive Director for the Massachusetts Republican Party.
Joyce Simmons resigned from her position as National Committeewoman of the Nebraska Republican Party due to her disagreement of the RNC financial support given to the Roy Moore race for U.S. Senate in Alabama.
