The Aerospace Industries Association of America, Inc. [AIA] announced that Alex Wagner has been appointed vice president and senior advisor to President and Chief Executive Officer Eric Kenneth Fanning. Wagner had previously served for almost seven years at the Department of Defense, most recently as Fanning’s Chief of Staff when he was Secretary of the Army. Prior to this appointment, Wagner also worked at the Georgetown Unversity Law center as a professor of law from 2011-2018. This is the first hire by Fanning since he became President and CEO of AIA at the beginning of this year.
