The Renewable Fuels Association (RFA) has announced that current Executive Vice President Geoff Cooper will become president and chief executive officer in October 2018. Current President and Chief Executive Officer Robert “Bob” Dinneen will step down at that time but will remain with the association as a senior strategic advisor.

Cooper joined RFA in 2008 as director of research and analysis and was most recently promoted to Executive Vice President in 2016.

Prior to joining RFA, Cooper worked on ethanol programs for the National Corn Growers Association from 2004 to 2008.

Cooper began his career serving as a captain in the U.S. Army, specializing in bulk petroleum product logistics.
