On August 28th, the Harvard Kennedy School of Government appointed Ambassador Wendy R. Sherman as the new director of the School’s Center for Public Leadership and as a professor of the practice of public leadership.
Sherman currently serves as a senior counselor for the Albright Stonebridge Group and as a global affairs contributor for NBC News and MSNBC.
Prior to her current roles, Sherman served as under secretary for political affairs from 2011 to 2015 and then as a member of the President’s Intelligence Advisory board from 2016 to 2017, both under the Barack Obama Administration.
In January 2019, Sherman will replace David Gergen, former Editor-at-Large of U.S. News & World Report, who has led the Center for Public Leadership since its founding in 2000.
