Lisa Hamilton, currently executive vice president and chief program officer at The Annie E. Casey Foundation, was named president and CEO, effective Jan. 1.

She will replace Patrick McCarthy, who announced his retirement after 25 years at the Foundation.

Hamilton started at the Casey Foundation as vice president, external affairs in 2011. Earlier, she worked at United Parcel Service for 14 years, including positions in corporate tax and public affairs before advancing to the president of the UPS Foundation.

As it happens, The Annie E. Casey Foundation was founded in 1948 by Jim Casey, who was the founder of UPS.
