#GivingTuesday Co-Creator to Head Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts

Henry Timms, president and CEO at 92^nd Street Y, will have that title at the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, effective in May. Russell Granet has been acting president at Lincoln Center since April.

Timms was a co-creator of #GivingTuesday, the global event that supports philanthropy on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving, Black Friday and Cyber Monday. The website boasts that since 2012, people from all over the world have given over $1 billion to various causes.
