The Pharmaceutical Care Management Association (PCMA) has named JC Scott the association’s new president and chief executive officer.

Scott currently serves as the chief advocacy officer at Advanced Medical Technology Association (AdvaMed), a position he’s held since 2016. Prior to that, he served as AdvaMed’s senior executive vice president, government affairs from 2011 to 2016.

Before joining AdvaMed, Scott spent seven years working at ACLI as senior vice president of federal relations. Scott also spent some time on Capitol Hill serving in various roles within the House of Representatives, most recently as deputy coalitions/policy director for the House Republican Conference.

Scott will begin his new role on October 15 and will succeed current President and CEO Mark Merritt; After 15 years at the helm of the PCMA, Merritt plans to step down.
