Hudson’s Bay Company (HBC) announced today that Helena Foulkes was appointed the company’s new chief executive officer, starting February 19, 2018.

Foulkes will be joining HBC from CVS Health Corporation where she has worked for over 25 years, currently serving as executive vice president and president of CVS Pharmacy, a position she’s held since 2014.

Foulkes will be replacing Richard Baker, who is currently serving in the chief executive officer role on an interim basis.

Baker will continue to serve as governor and executive chairman of HBC’s board after Foulkes appointment takes effect.

Foulkes will also be joining the company’s board of directors on the date of her appointment.
