Today, Treehouse Foods, Inc. appointed Steven Oakland as the company’s new president and chief executive officer.

Oakland will assume his executive duties on March 26, 2018, and already joined the board of directors on March 2, 2018.

Oakland succeeds Sam K. Reed, current chairman, president and chief executive officer, who will become non-executive chairman of the board through July 1, 2018, at which time he will retire from the company.

Oakland comes to TreeHouse from J.M. Smucker Company where he was most recently vice chair and president, U.S. Food and Beverage.

Currently, Oakland serves on the Boards of Directors of Foot Locker, Inc., Foster Farms, and MTD Products Corporation.
