Regions Financial Corporation announced that John M. Turner Jr., who currently serves as the company’s president, will become the new chief executive officer of Regions Bank and Regions Financial Corporation and a member of the company’s Board of Directors.
Turner joined Regions in 2011 as the company’s regional president of the South Region and was later named the head of Regions’ Corporate Bank in 2014, a position he held until being named the president in 2017.
Prior to joining Regions, Turner served as president of Whitney National Bank and Whitney Holding Corporation from 2008 to 2011.
Turner begins his new roles on July 2, 2018, and succeeds Grayson Hall, current chairman and CEO, who will continue to serve as executive chairman through the end of 2018.
