Caplin & Drysdale announced today that Clark Armitage has been named the president of the firm, succeeding Beth Kaufman, who will remain an active member of the Board of Directors.

Armitage, who has over 25 years of experience addressing the international tax concerns, serves as a member of the firm’s International Tax and Tax Controversy groups.

Prior to his tenure at Caplin & Drysdale, Armitage spent eight years working in the IRS Advance Pricing Agreement Program, eventually serving as its deputy director from 2008 to 2010.

Armitage has a B.A. from American University and a J.D. from George Washington University Law School.
