Tracey D. Brown, senior vice president of operations and chief experience officer at Walmart Inc’s Sam’s Club division, was named chief executive officer at American Diabetes Association, effective June 1, 2018. She will be replacing Martha Perry Clark who has been interim chief executive officer since April, 2017.
Tracey Brown herself was diagnosed with Type II Diabetes earlier in her life, and has been an active volunteer in organizing fundraising efforts for the association. She joined the American Diabetes Association’s board of directors in January, 2018.
Martha Perry Clark will leave the interim position on May 31, 2018 and resume her place on the American Diabetes Association’s board of directors.
