On February 1, 2018, the Democratic National Committee (DNC) announced the appointment of Mary Beth Cahill as its interim chief executive officer.
Cahill replaces Jess O’Connell, who is departing after serving for only a year as DNC’s CEO.
Cahill will be in this interim role from mid-February through May as DNC searches for O’Connell’s permanent replacement.
Cahill previously served as national political director for the United Automobile Workers Union and as executive director of Emily’s List, a PAC that aims to help elect pro-choice Democratic women to office.
