McGuireWoods LLP announced that the firm’s Board of Partners elected Jonathan P. Harmon as the firm’s new chairman, succeeding Richard Cullen. The board also appointed J. Tracy Walker IV as managing partner, taking over duties from Thomas E. Cabaniss. Cullen and Cabaniss will remain as practicing partners at the firm and recommended Harmon and Walker for their respective positions back in May, the change being in accordance with a long-planned leadership transition. Harmon previously served as chair of the firm’s Business & Securities Litigation Department since 2015, while Walker served as the firm’s deputy managing partner and head of its litigation practice, also since 2015.
