Jason Abbruzzese, current business editor at Mashable, will join NBC News Digital as senior technology editor, effective January 29, 2018.
His reporting will delve into the intersection between the business of technology and that of national politics, culture and the economy. He will report to David Firestone, NBC News Digital’s managing editor, and will work closely with Allison Girvin, NBC News’ business and technology unit chief and Matt Toder, supervising producer for documentaries and verticals at NBC News Digital.
Abbruzzese has been running Mashable’s business section since 2016. Prior to his promotion to business editor, he was a media reporter for Mashable. He joined Mashable in 2013, after serving as a web editor for the Financial Times, based in New York.
