Foundations

At the Rockefeller Foundation, Matthew Herrick was named Managing Director, Communications. Herrick most recently served as senior vice president of Story Partners from 2016-2018, where he founded the agency’s food, agriculture, and nutrition practice. Prior to that, Herrick served as deputy communications director and senior advisor at the United States Department of Agriculture from 2015 – 2016.

 

Patrick Gaspard, previously Vice President of Programs, was named President at Open Society Foundations.

 

Associations

Max G. Moses is the new Executive Director of the Academy of General Dentistry.

Eric Kenneth Fanning has assumed his position as President and Chief Executive Officer of Aerospace Industries Association of America, Inc.

The American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine has completed its merger with the Association of Osteopathic Directors and Medical Educators.  AODME is now a part of AACOM and has been renamed the Assembly of Osteopathic Graduate Medical Educators.

Richard E. Hawkins has assumed his position as President and Chief Executive Officer of the American Board of Medical Specialties.

Daniel L. “Dan” Dumbacher has assumed his position as Executive Director of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Inc.  He has replaced Sandra H. “Sandy” Magnus who had led the association since 2012.

The American Psychiatric Association has moved its headquarters from Arlington, Virginia to Washington, DC.

Stephen P. Welby has assumed his position as Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer of The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Inc.

Christopher “Chris” Toth, previously Deputy Executive Director, is now Executive Director of the National Association of Attorneys General.  He has replaced James E. “Jim” McPherson who is now General Counsel of the U.S. Army.

Douglas J. “Doug” O’Brien has assumed his position as Chief Executive Officer of the National Cooperative Business Association.

Terry Morse has assumed his position as Chief Executive Officer of the National Ground Water Association.

Nancy J. Foster has assumed her position as President and Chief Executive Officer of The Risk Management Association.

Robert Malley was named President and Chief Executive Officer at International Crisis Group.

 

Performing Arts Groups and Centers

At the New York City Ballet, Peter Martins retired as Ballet Master in Chief and Artistic Director and Co-Chairman, Faculty School of American Ballet. An interim artist management team has been named that includes Jonathan Stafford, Craig Hall, Rebecca Krohn and Justin Peck.
