Ambassador Karen Kornbluh has been named director, technology policy program and senior fellow at The German Marshall Fund of the U.S., based in Washington. She was most recently senior fellow for digital policy at Council on Foreign Relations. Kornbluh served during the Obama Administration as ambassador to the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development from 2009 to 2012.

The GMF says the new technology policy program “will contend with the challenge of online disinformation as well as other technology policy issues including 21st-century jobs and innovation, democratic implications of frontier technologies, and cyber dimensions of national security.”
